Fun With Tape and Mud

Now that the installation of the wallboard is complete, the real fun begins!! The workers have begun putting tape on the wallboard joints and applying joint compound to the tape and over the wallboard screws. The basement is really taking shape. Can't wait to move in! Enjoy the pics!

Toasty Warm With New Insulation

The saga of the remodeling continues with the new insulation. The contractors installed the insulation along the outside walls. They used a rigid form because of the limited depth, but we will have a satisfactory R-10 rate for the outside walls. The 'Mrs.' and I insulated the inside walls, mostly for sound deadening. It took us two nights after work and we are still itching!!!!!!!!!! Have I told anyone recently how much I dislike fiberglass insulation?! Anyway, the job is finished and it is amazing how much quieter the basement is at this point. I am sure the additional insulation will give us better warmth throughout the basement, as well. Enjoy the pictures.
PS. Hello to Logan, Laney, Mya, Gibson, and Sadie! :-)

Demo's done; time for framing

Hello, again. Now that the demo is done, we moved on to the framing. The contractor had electricians and framers in to begin the rebuilding process. The framing was completed in about two weeks. Here are some more pictures.

Greetings this blustery winter day! Hope this finds you well. Thought I would delve into the world of blogging. Had to redo it already! So, what else is new. We are in the midst of remodeling our basement and it is going well. I will add some pictures to show the progress. We are excited at the prospect of the job being completed and having a new living space. Where is Ty when you need him!! Any
